Having driven both and feel equally at home with either, I'm going to get one but was wondering about reliability. Anyone know which will be the best in the long run?

I don't know of many e-gear owners on here, most have manuals. Try looking on www.lambo-power.com which has a large membership of Murcie and G owners with both options.

Reliability is hard to tell with new models. I've done 23,000km without problems in my e-gear and wouldn't hesitate to get the same again next time. Depends more on your preference than reliability as both versions have had their "issues".

It's down to personal preference. I've tried both configurations on both vehicles. Personally I prefer (and went with) the clickety clack satisfaction of the manual! But there's no wrong answer in this dilemna!
