I'm looking to store my boxster hardtop. The missus is moaning that it is cluttering up the utility room!

Do Porsche sell wall mounted racks? If so any experinece of them. They easy to use and secure? I don't want the roof falling onto my baby!

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Demon Tweeks sell a hard top buggy… bascially a metal frame on which the hard top rests. It can be wheeled about, and there are wheel locks to stop it from moving around… not cheap mind...

You need an "Auto-Pak" from Impacta

www.impacta.co.uk

If they're still doing them...the website seems to be in a state of flux at the moment.

Two big hooks screw to the wall of the garage...and you put the hardtop in a big "bag" and hang it on it.

Very inexpensive in comparison to Porsche's system and keeps the thing clean and out of the way.

not wall mounted but very good.

www.onedesignstands.co.uk/

its on wheels so you can lift the roof off the car onto the stand then wheel it off to where you want to store it rather than have to carry it.

Sits on the floor though

This reminds me of something that my friend went through and I imagine, doesn't want to go through again. He hadn't the garage space for his 996's hard top, so for the summer it went to his dads. Unfortunatly, his other brother stored his motorbike there, and one day and set of garage shelving fell from the wall for some unknown reason, landed on the bike and the bike then landed on the hard top.

He wasn't very happy as you can imagine.
