There may be more on the roads now in 2005.

Even if we take the figures from 2003, then 200 cars and 50 bikes in the M4 protest on Saturday is a good result!!!

250 out of 32000000,

Seems to me like the 'big' protest wasn't as good a result as it could have been.

I think you would get more response from burglars marching through London to protest that burglary is illegal!!

Given the mentality displayed by the scumeras, you're probably right!

And there would be the usual spin on that too. I can see the quote: "Inspector Wan Ker said, "Two pedestrians, who were nothing to do with the protest, were involved in a fight at the corner of the street. There were no injuries, but the fight was a direct result of the protesters' actions. We had a couple of complaints of rape, which we will be following up."

(See: M4 Protest Article from Bristol Evening Post )

Why is this post trollish eh?

Just because your protest that you spent ages bigging up didn't hit large numbers.

I just think its funny that people seem so happy that they managed to get a convoy of 250 vehicles out of around 32000000.

If you ask me a petition signed by thousands and hand delivered (with publicity) direct to 10 Downing Street would have been more useful.

Exactly!!

This is the mentality of the police etc. I know there was an accident on Saturday that the police etc will try to blame the protest for (which gives a bit of negative publicity), but has it really had the effect that you were hoping for? Has it really made anyone extra aware of speed cameras on the M4 considering how much publicity they had anyway? I wonder how many people were actually more annoyed at the protest than the cameras.

I do, explain to me why my post is trollish please.

It points out the small turn out for the protest, which I think is very funny. What is wrong with this?

Oh sorry, I forgot, some of you cannot handle anything that goes against the collective thought can you, even though it is right in your face!!

The protest was at most a mere drop in the ocean.

What I find so funny is that people are saying how brilliant it was.

You could say the same about the fuel protests and blockades.

People are apathetic.

Over your head again is it hedders?

Not to worry, maybe there is a thread about lead right foots and nsl breaking which will make you feel all warm and nice inside.

Did you attend the protest??

If so then well done. As a question for all though, what is the number of members of this forum who frequent this section??

I wonder if you'd speak this language in person? I think not

There is being cheeky, there is being an ass, there is being a pain in the ass & there is annoying people.

FR it's time you stopped trolling, if this was in person I'm sure someone would have lumped you one by now, your becoming very very annoying.

Why are people still giving this obvious nonce credibility by replying to his posts?

It's obvious he's a troll, obvious he's here to insight anger and frustration amongst motoristing enthusiasts and obvious that he is succeeding.

The sooner everyone just ignores him and he goes off to troll somewhere else the better - I'm all for voicing a different opinion but not when it's 'rammed down the throats' of fellow motoring enthusiasts on our own forum - especially in the completely unbalanced and prejudicial way it has been.

Ok thug boy, would you have tried to lump me?

Typical attitude of a road thug isn't it. Maybe you drive like you talk - you speed along and if anyone gets in the way (maybe they are doing the speed limit and disagree with your velocity) you try to push them out of the way in anger?

I am not scared to carry the same opinions in person as I do on here. Its funny you mention stuff in person because people like you aren't ever around the social groups I am in. I don't tend to hang around McDonald's car parks late at night you see.

Tell me one thing Andy.

Considering the fact that most people I have spoke to on this forum think that driving to the speed limits or below on motorways is more dangerous than speeding, why have a 'drive slow' protest??

Why have this sort of protest if low speed driving causes carnage and accidents??

I'm sure there was carnage on the M4 on Saturday because you were going so slow your mind wondered??

I would like answers please to the very legitimate questions above.

You're assuming that all 32 million car drivers reside within an area close to the M4 that would make it possible for them to attend.

You're also assuming that all those 32 million drivers weren't working on the day. That they don't have private matters to attend to. That they're in the country at the time.

You're assuming that all 32 million drivers knew about the protest.

You're also assuming that all 32 million drivers know and understand the reasoning behind the protest.

Mind you, we all know that fuel tax is incredibly unfair, yet how many people attended the last blockades?

Your post is 'trollish' because you posted it purely to raise an angry or emotive response out of other members of the forum.

There was no genuine question in your posting, just an attack on the people who could actually be bothered to DO something for a change instead of just sitting there complaining.

POLITICAL RANT MODE ON

If the government is elected by the people, for the people, then how come they don't bother listening to the people?

That little piece of paper we're all (sorry 50% of us) using on Thursday is only as valuable as a piece of toilet paper for all the good it does when they choices are NewCrap, TorCrap or LiberCrap.

Guy Fawkes had it about right I think!

Read my post I said "someone"

There are 32 000 000 of us after all don't forget

Ask any policeman, there are more than enough cases of road rage reported daily so if you go round trying to wind people up you are sooner or later going to land yourself in trouble.

Hence why I suggested that I bet you would'nt try winding people up in person as I assume your sensible enough not to take that risk in person

It's very easy to wind people up on a forum, it's called trolling & is usually by people who WOULDNT SAY IT IN PERSON.
