I was there in the yellow GT3.

Good day, and weather wasn't too bad either.

It is........

But now i know where they have moved the new microphone to , there's no stopping me.

I'm having the back boxes changed for quieter ones soon aswell, so hopefully i won't have to lift off, everytime i pass one.

Well put it this way, she was about 5ft 10", very
long blonde hair etc etc, you get the picture.....

I didn't know who was more nervous her or me !!!, she said she loves Porsches, so what better than a few HOT laps in a GT3.

I'm now going to spend the rest of the week at confession for the impure thoughts i had !!!

Wini,

Thanks for that.
Bedford is my local so know it pretty well now.

RE the nobles, they are a pretty close match round the corners, but i have the edge on the straights, probably down to aerodynamics.

Interesting your comment vs the Nobles, not been my experience when on straights vs a GT3 Then again you tend to here different stories depending on which forum you are on!

I still want a GT3 though

Not dissing the Nobles mate, as i know just how quick they are, i have had a power upgrade on mine, and suspension mods, which makes a noticable difference from standard, and really comes into play coming out of slow corners, and even more so down the back straight at Bedford.

Obviously you can't label a cars speed without comparable drivers etc etc.

Why the GT3 from a Noble ???

Well fundamentally I prefer NA, the GT1 derived engine is fab. Debating when to make the move though as I want to see where mk2 prices go, and I quite fancy keeping the Noble for lemans as I reckon it will be more fun to pose around in

Still not 100% sure I'll change. Was a bit down on the Noble after a big service bill, but now that I've researched GT3s properly, I'm not sure I'd save much running it given the cost of disks/pads/tyres etc. Not to mention the extra capital that would be tied up.

if i may butt in on your conversation here glenn... i did some passenger laps with joust who then hopped into my car... he made exactly your point, that the aerodynamics of his m400 were somewhat inferior to the 911 hence it was 'slower' on the long straight... BTW i managed to get mine upto 153 before frantically looking for the brake pedal.

wini - the car is standard, no mods or anything.

GT2s are even more monstrous than GT3s though!

To be fair though, so much is down to the driver its a silly discussion. I've passengered in a Honda Elise (not the supercharged one which is just insane) with a very good driver and we've passed GT2s (although they weren't kean to move over!).
