An Audi TT Quatro for £295
Discussion
I always tend to work assumption that people can't be daft enough to sell a bargain...
Then again recently £30 buy it now ebay with a stack of photos for some Psion stuff which regularly sells for £200+ so who knows!
The only thing which puts me off are when OBVIOUS tests are not done, in my case often people who can't be arsed to stick in a couple of AA batteries puts me off.
In this case, everyone would try and start it wounldn't they?

Why are they a money pit - such a ubiquitous engine that surely you just replace them if a major issue? Having said that, whilst this one is cheap it’s really just a breaker when you can buy a good running one for £1200.
They can have water pump issues leading to overheating. Also oil pick up issues which can ultimately lunch the engine but... for £300 what car isn't going to give you the odd headache. A replacement engine would be peanuts and there are 100's to choose from so you could probably see one running if need be. I assume there must be penty of other issues to deal with at this price but it could still work out pretty cheap once sorted. Anyone know which model this actually is?

Having had this engine in two Audi's now I personally wouldn't want to own another one. First car dumped all it's coolant on the M25 and overheated. Second engine had the oil pickup issue with the low oil pressure warning coming on. Changed the oil pump and pickup but it was one issue after the other so I got shot.Anyone know which model this actually is?
The oil capacity is very low for a turbocharged car and with long service intervals and lack of maintenance they clog up with sludge. I found the engine very fragile compared to something like a Honda from the same Era.
I always think of Audi as a thin veneer of quality on the parts you touch but the mechanics are worse than french quality.
