Nice little flypast west of Reading last night

First off, apologies for lack of pics - had my hands full with the dogs.

Standing chatting to one of the tractor drivers last night, a grumble of piston engines is heard. We're then overflown by a Mustang, 2 Spitfires, Blenheim, and a B17G!

No idea exactly why there were out, but they appeared to circle Englefield house/estate a few times, then headed back over us, with 1 Spitfire breaking away to do a solo pass and then catch the others up.

Lovely, eclectic mix - no idea if they're all based at the same aerodrome?

En route from home base at Duxford to Farnborough for the airshow this weekend....would be my guess?

Ah, forgot about Farnborough. Odd for them to arrive from a North East direction and head back that same way unless they were scheduled to overfly other places too.

Directions make sense for Duxford but a heck of a flight for a 5 minute buzz around Englefield.
