GUys, need some advice.

My drivers side window goes up and down no probs with the 'window buttons' inside the car. When I open the door though with the button under the mirror the window doesnt go down a few inches for the door to open?????

When I alarm the car the window goes up no problem.

So basically the window works fine in all circumstances bar the one where the button on the wing mirror is used.

Any sparks of inspiration out there??

Cheers,
Jamster

check the reed switch in the bottom of the door, also check to see if the magnet stuck into the sill is still there. The magnets tend to fall out, then the car doesn't know the door has been shut and therefore doesn't see the need to lower the window.

good luck

Is your interior light going out? If it is then it won’t be the magnet, as this is the trigger fron switching the light.

Try re-setting the control box in the boot. If its still the same then I would look at the switch on the door that tell the window it is down. To do this you need to remove the interior door panel, about a fasterners.

Had a similar problem myself, contacted Paul Smith at the factory, he is the wizz-kid on their electronics and i was able to resolve the issue after a few simple suggestions.
