Can anyone tell me what type of screw or bolt attaches the piece of trim above the passenger's legs, next to the footwell vent? My one is hanging down and I don't want to pull the whole thing out to see what type of thread I need to hold it up.

It goes through the hole shown below.

I know it's a minor point, but I would like to have it correctly positioned, as at the moment it is halfway across the vent.

Thanks!

There is only 1 screw that holds that piece of trim in place. When the trim is in place, the Philips screw screws up into a hole in a metal “plate” located On the side where the radio is.

Finding the hole in the plate above is tricky

As above a self tapper into an L shaped metal bracket attached to the centre console. The bracket is slotted so if your panel sits too low or pops out from the upper dash you can adjust it to be higher.

Tip: use a bradawl or similar through the hole on the panel to fish for the screwhole then, holding the panel in that place, replace bradawl with screw, et voila.
