E46 BMW M3 AMG NO RUNNER, NEED ADVICE?
Discussion
Afternoon,
on the advice of a friend I have come here to get some advice off you guys. hope you can help.
I have a 2002 E46 BMW m3 convertible, ideally I want to sell it but its overheating.
what kind of price should I put it up for as a none runner or would it be worth spending to solve the issue first before I sell?
any advice welcome.
thanks.

Definitely worth getting a price to repair- even old tatty m3s are worth money.
If it’s a coolant leak or water pump- probably worth getting done. Head gasket at 1500£ then it might be worth selling as a non runner
If u do want to sell as a non runner , let me know, I know a few people who would have it off of you

If HGs go on an M3 it is normally down to the ring gasket parts blowing way between the cylinders, not the oil mixing with the water etc.
With that in mind I'd try and find the source of the leak. The thermostat is a likely culprit but if the car's had neglected coolant changes, changing the rad could make the world of difference.
