My 2003 Tamora has a 3rd handle which seems identical to one of the emergency door release handles in the footwells but doesnt seem to be connected to anything... does anyone know what this might be/have been for?

Maybe this is the one that should be in the boot, but the cable was too short?.

When I asked the dealer how you use the cable in the boot he said take the number plate off!!!.

Would like to know how you can use it but would not advise to post on this board, maybe some one could E mail me, just in case I do need to use it.

This should be connected to the drivers door to allow for remote opening, give it a pull and see if the drivers door can be opened.

As mentioned earlier if you cannot get into the car if the battery has discharged you will not be able to get in the boot.

Please email me offline and I can explain this if anyone is unsure. Yes there is an official reason why its there. How do I know...well our car thought it was stolen, ecu was bd anf there was zero way in. I will only reply to Tamora owners who's email address match those in the register (www.tvrtamora.com).
