Hi All,

Does anyone know good driving roads in this area as we are heading up there soon? We are coming from the South and would rather not have to just go along the M1 as that won't be much fun, especially as it's going to be in a convoy of cars! Appreciate any suggestions as have never been around that area before so am just playing with google maps ATM. Thanks in advance

Coming from London and heading to Aston Martin Works. Current route would just be to hop onto the M1 and then come off at junction 14 but hoping that someone might be able to recommend some better roads so we could potentially hop off the m1 earlier and find some nice roads to head there on.

Off the M1 at Toddington, Toddington to Milton Bray, Milton Bray to Woburn, Woburn to Woburn Sands, Woburn Sands to Cranfield, Cranfield to North Crawley, North Crawley to Newport Pagnell. While far from the greatest roads you'll see they are far more interesting than the M1

Thanks for the advice. Will look into those roads now, had looked at the road from Cranfield to Newport Pagnell and that seems like a nice stretch, much better than the M1!

Not sure if you can or not but you could come out of London on the M40, get off at Beaconsfield, come down and join the A413 take that road up to Aylesbury then out through Wing etc on towards Milton Keynes (A5) then get off the A5 and head through some of the back roads to MK.

Or take the M40 up to Bicester and then head off to Waddesdon and off through the back roads to Newport Pagnell
