Piccolo Principe?

Just a guess as that appears to be the only 2 star in Tuscany in a hotel.

Definitely report back!

Cheers - hotel is called Principe Di Piemonte in Viareggio. Have been totally happy with the standard rustic Tuscan fare and am not normally a fan of fine dining so will be interesting to see what happens.

Viareggio ,Forte dei Marmi etc might be a bit too tourist developed but the coastline is beautiful.

True, we just arrived from Lago di Como a few days ago which was also stunning. I had a quick look at your profile and see that you're local! You are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. If you see us in the car below (UK plates) give us a wave. We’ll be in Lucca for lunch tomorrow smile

Italy is my fantasy home.
I'd move there tomorrow if I could speak the language properly, not just basic words.

getmecoat

I have been there twice this year though.
