Help identifying on old song

Late eighties early nineties a song that's been playing in my head, starts and contiues with music overlay of waves washing on a beach, very relaxing. I'm sure it was high up the charts but can't for the life of me place it. Can anyone help ?

Aaah just re-read my original post, I had meant late 90s early noughties so double kudos Chester.
So no genre, ten years out and a broad description and all suggestions were really good.
