Well I'm a week into ownership and the list of job sto complete has been wittled by a couple but I keep adding on new ones!!
The latest is my non-existent aircon. No, not the usual story about vague wafts of warmish air and dripping pipes.
The compressor is not kicking in. In a std car (I know its not a std car) when you activated aircon the fans should start (drawing air through the condensor) and the compressor should have a live feed which engages the clutch at the front of the unit. In my early 4.2 I have the blue light on the dash but no fans kicking in and the compressor clutch remains disengaged.
Any clues as to which bit of wiring I ought to be scutinizing?

When you press the button, and the blue light comes on, you should hear a click as the compressor clutch engages. This can be conformed by lifting the bonnet. Once the system is working you then need to switch on the cold air fan, by pushing the rotary knob. This ‘should’ give you nice cold air. Remember to use you’re A/C on a regular basis, not just during the summer. It’s good for removing dampness also you can use it with the warm air as well.

Sucking eggs, no problem 
As you've described, I'm expecting the drive to engage on the compressor when the blue LED comes on - but this doesn't happen. As it needs a live feed to engage the clutch drive - I'm expecting that a fuse or piece of wiring has gone south. My prob is which fuse or wiring?

This isn't going to be much help but....
Mine had stopped working prior to a service (clutch thingy not clicking out, when air con button pressed), presumed it was out of gas, came back from service re gassed, still not working.
Took it to an air con place, who said that it had plenty of gas & that the air con wasn't engaging, it must be an electical fault.
In the recent hot weather, I decided to give it another try, blue light on, no click & then about five minutes later, BINGO
So in short, re gass it, put the air con on everytime your in the vehicle, and when the car's ready it will start working in it's own time.
A bit like your speedo, rev counter, door buttons, windows, alarm etc etc
