Did something g change for mobile divices ?

As per title, I now have the bottom quarter of my phone taken up with some kind of quick cut bar for forums, my stuff , settings etc, is this a change or have I just pushed a wrong button somewhere?
If it’s a change then it’s rubbish, I just lost 25pct of a small screen to accomadatie the same menu buttons found at the top of the screen!
If it’s me, any ideas how to turn it off!!!
