Good, let's hope these teeth are used firmly and often.
This, if he was just "fat cat international banker", then he/she could account for the moneyNeed to do this more often.
We should look into people like this and use the money for good causes.
I bet there are a huge number of London properties being bought like this
If he is a banker he can prove his employment and pay and Hmrc can speak with his employer. If he made the money from selling a business then what business and Hmrc can look into that
It makes the working man feel better than these people aren’t getting away with it Scot free

At last, and only fair.
Tyler Scroat with £150 in his pocket and no plausible explanation is going to get it taken off him (and a possible Money Laundering charge). But £150 million in property and you're safe?

It's absolutely outrageous that criminals have been able to get away with their crimes for many years purely because said crimes paid spectacularly well. They're scum in the same way as the moped criminals in London are.

CEO of Persimmon Homes has just pocketed around a £100 million pound bonus. Anything is possible it seems.
The important point is that it will be entered into the company accounts. It will appear on his P60, and he will pay £47 million Tax on it.The woman in question has a modestly paid husband and no way to account for her wealth.

Quite a few years back, almost certainly nearer 20 than 10, I was doing some work at a small private equity firm in the City, and was chatting over lunch to their compliance guy. He idly wondered aloud how a not-terribly-senior official from the council of a small town in the middle of Russia was in a position to be asking about investing millions of pounds with them...Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
