My first drone was caught by a gust of wind and was plummeted into a lake where it promptly sank.

My nephew's drone went up and up and up and vanished into the distance never to be seen again.

Not sure I would be too comfortable trusting one to bring me safely down to earth.

If you think how bad some driving is on the roads, let's hope it never gets into the air, computerised or otherwise. There's a reason why not everyone is a pilot.

Yeah, that third dimension makes a huge difference, imagine if your average driver being in control of a plane, the maintenance and general disregard for rules would mean carnage, I think you need to be a certain type to be a pilot, need to be a bit anal to carry it off properly.

The extra dimension also means that if something goes wrong or you fk up, you don't just roll to a stop and call the AA, you have a very good chance of being dead.
