I put 5/6 days, but toyed with every day, but on re-thinking it, 5/6 is about right.
I hardly ever go in a pub or bar these days, haven’t regularly for more than six years now, since I retired.
However, I’ll have a couple of big measures of vodka and tonic almost every Monday to Friday night at home, probably consuming a litre of good vodka every 12 - 15 days.

I struggle with booze. I'm either full-on card-carrying tee-total, or raging alky.
This week, more the latter.
Totally the same. First few months of the year nothing, last two I've single hardly kept the wine producers of Bordeaux in business. Need to get back on the wagonThis week, more the latter.

I'm not here to judge anyone but I'm genuinely interested in the reasons why people do not drink alcohol. I've seen in the news that younger people tend not to drink these days but maybe that was down to cost?
My 19 yo daughter and her 21 yo boyfriend hardly drink, he likes JD and Honey so we bought him a bottle for his birthday in May, he's had about 2 measures out of it, in the fridge is a large Corona; he bought 2 about a month ago, had one and the other one has been taunting me every time I open the fridge, it sits there all cold with fine layer of condensation all over it!It's not money as they have plenty, they just don't really see the need, my youngest has said she doesn't particularly like the taste, although she has been known to get pissed with her mates on the odd occasion, I do take the piss that she's boring as she doesn't smoke and is massively anti drugs; secretly I'm pleased! (she dumped a friend when she was searched in a club and drugs were discovered on her, when they were out one night)
My 25 yo will go out and get hammered and then won't touch another drop for a couple of months, however her older (mid 30's) boyfriend will drink every day after work.
I just think the younger, educated generation on the whole are more wary and aware about what they put in their bodies, smoking is massively on the decline amongst the younger ones too, I believe.
Over the last year I’ve gone from drinking wine on 4-5 days a week to averaging around 1 day a week. Some weeks it may be two days and others none at all.
Might be an age thing but at 55 I now prefer to drink one lovely bottle of wine with the Mrs rather than a few.
