Recently had the Chim mot"d had an advisory on power steering weep. Tightened up all the jubilee clips but looking like a seep out of the bottom hose.
Any suggestions or way to proceed
Over to you..

Normally around the metal U bend below the pump. Pain in the backside to fix. There are braided hose kits which seem to work well.

The TVR idea of a copper pipe bent into a 'U' with the hoses Jubilee clipped to it was shockingly poor, leaks were inevitable.

Just remove the arrangement and take it to your local Pirtek, ask them to copy it using proper crimped hydraulic hose connections as circled below, this will end your leaks for good.

Or buy the pre-made kit here:

https://chimaerapartsonline.co.uk/product/power-st...

Its very expensive for what it is especially when compared to what a hydralic hose specialist would charge you to make up, but if you buy the kit at least you'll know it'll fit first time without the need to dissemble what you have to get it copied with proper crimped hose connections.

I did mine over 7 years ago and it's not lost a single drop of power steering fluid since thumbup

This will result in a whole new alarm system but don't shy away from it as it may alleviate issues that are lurking and waiting to bite you with your old alarm system.

It's also not difficult to do, even for someone with a no star spanner rating. Like me. Apart from getting the dash top off, that is smile

So now having the Chim for nearly a year and I think it's great ,only a 4ltr I feel the need for something with a bit more poke but still want the "roof off"" feel.
Need a boot that can take a decent sized bag/ bags.
It's a great car not let me down so far but I need to scratch that itch.......
