I am looking to stick the wife's 1984 Carrera potentially on a multi-car cover through a mainstream provider, not with a dedicated specialist. I know that these insurers pay out at market value. Should that concern me and should I go down the route of a specialist that will value the car correctly.

Anyone else insure their classic P&J through mainstream insurers or is that a school boy error? I am pretty sure I have seen threads where individuals were fighting to prove their cars value..

Thanks G

Perhaps get your 3.2 valued professionally.

Try John Glynn who also runs ImpactBumpers.com.

Then agree the value with your chosen insurer.

an agreed value policy would probably be a safer route dependant upon annual mileage. Usually 6000 miles max.

Gone for a John Glynn valuation and will use Footman James for an agreed value, which came out the same price as the multi-car policy..

Thanks for the support again!!!
