Well it nice to know that I can only assume is jealousy is alive and well.

My car is parked outside my flat at the weekend, as it often is, went into town Saturday night, came back and someone has kicked in my headlights....why?

I have merely said hello to a few neighbours, and I work away a lot, so its not as if I have annoyed anyone....some people really need a good kicking....

Sorry to hear that. It always makes me sick when something like this happens.
We all work hard for our money and some people have not got any respect for others property.
I hope you've let the plod know, (I doubt if they will do much, but you never know). It might be worth getting a car cover for it or better, somewhere else to park it? Any chance of renting a garage in the area?

I assume you have a 996 - as their was a thread recently on rennlist about how easy it is to nick the lights. They are worth a few bob - so I expect you were the victim of professional scumbags - rather then your neighbours.

I have a 3.2, and they broke the lenses, rather than steal anything.

sorry to hear it mate.

all you can do is hope they poked a hole in their shoes doing it and have succumbed to tetanus or gangrene by now.

I had some scum nick the Porsche badge off the front of one of my 993s years ago. They left loads of blood on the bonnet where they broke the enamel – Porky bites back!

Paul, sorry to hear about the damage to your car, happened to mine last year in this wonderful county of Berkshire. It seems to be getting worse down here, so I think it might be best to go back up north!

Bastards - When staying in Germany I had the entire front end nicked off my E36 M3 overnight

They took the bumper, headlights, grill, everything. Obviously 'done to order'. They even tied up the headlamp wires neatly. Driving home was a real hoot - the wind noise was horrendous, and smartarse Germans kept saying "when is it going to be finished?"

I often worry about my 993 though - For example the rear lights (and for the matter the front indicators/fogs I think) can be removed by undoing one screw and unclipping one cable - probably take about 15 seconds.

Paul, bad luck mate, but at least the lense are not a dear part, as I had a stone through one of mine just the other month.
Also, after losing a badge and another one partially bent off bonnet, I had a proximity, option fitted to alarm, which beeps a bit, when people loiter a bit to near car, that stopped it,
might benefit yours to.

Chris, a mate of mine lost all four corners off his 964 Cab, the lenses that is, in central Windsor in the middle of summer. This was under street lights on his driveway...He never heard a thing!

Lost a bonnet badge and some thieving little shitebag tried to lever the rear reflector off which resulted in them knackering the whole reflector.
