Roof rack (seriously)
Discussion
Yeah, I bought one from Halfords a million years ago that was a 'Fits All' type.
It had large pads that sit comfortably on the series II rain gutter.
It is then held in place by four bolt-up clamps which hook under the roof bodywork.
They are metal but my kit came with thick, plastic shields which restrict marking.
Like I say, it was a looooong time ago.

Good effort - looks like glenshee and late-90s by the kit. Although with the amount of salt / brine on the roads up there doubt the chassis would enjoy it!
Not sure about roof bars but there used to be suction type ski racks (held a couple of pairs) available. Didn’t know anyone that had them but saw them used on a 911. Never heard any urban myths about them flying off the roof....

I have seen a few Lamborghinis with sucker roof racks.

Word of warning, they come off at around 150mph as the owner found out...
Could email him and find out where he got it from.

McLaren have been using seasucker bike racks on their cars, a quick search shows they do sicker based racks for various uses including skis

if it's just sucker mounts, you could perhaps use the Manfrotto sucker mounts
https://www.manfrotto.co.uk/product/241
I've got these for mounting cameras etc.
Two or three of those with the corresponding post and mount the ski's to that?
Or go the whole hog with something like seasucker mounts
