Hi all, I'm one step closer to being able to go out to play in the car, final few things to do.

I have just changed the air filter, just above this and to the right is ab electrical unit with a lead coming out with a multi plug on the end, I have found the corresponding plug, but its not connected. Before I connect it back up, can anyone tell me what it is.

Many thanks

Frank

Not the ice detector. That is just a 2 pin connector with a tiny sensor in the end.

Best the OP helps us by telling how many pins in the connector and what the wire colours are then we can perhaps identify the circuit.

A picture would help identify it.

It may be a redundant connector from the original Rover loom. Perhaps for front foglights?

That is the alarm siren.
Probably disconnected because the previous owner got fed up with the siren chirps during setting/unsetting.

It's a full alarm unit with built in siren and it looks like a Cobra alarm

Many thanks to you all.

I'll leave it disconnected as the car didn't come with any alarm fobs just an immobiliser.

Cheers
