Has anybody used the ADR scheme to settle a dispute before going to small claims court, it is advised by the Citizens Advice and the Gov web site that you try all options before it goes to court as the judge tends to be more favorable if you have tried, I am struggling to find one in the north west, a solicitor has advised me to take it straight to court. Have followed the 3 letters procedure and had replies to the two but the garage is now ignoring the third so will have to proceed with the small claims.

Attempted mediation is part of the small claims procedure on MCOL. Just submit your claim and you will be asked whether you are willing to take part. The mediation is done over the phone.

In your correspondence did you suggest any form of ADR?
