It can get quite serious in SP&L so lets have a little fun. Add your loopholes/get out of jail cards.

You CAN actually hold and make a phone call on a mobile phone when driving a car.

Loophole - You have to be calling 999 or 112 in an emergency and it's unsafe or impractical to stop.

It appears that your EPROM needs updating.

You can continually smash your way through a windscreen with an illegal weapon.

But only if you are in fear for your safety from someone who isn't actually in the vicinity.

totting up ban.

Just plead exceptional hardship to another, wife/kids no kids wheel the mother or the gran you drive around ; ).

No 6 month ban!

.....Or do you drive a friend or relative to church to carry out such duties as church warden! Another trick to avoid a ban worked for someone local to me.

You can shoot a Welshman with a crossbow if he is found inside Chester's city walls between sunset and sunrise.

True that. But I don't recommend you do (the by-law is unlikely to carry much weight).

I got caught doing 90 in a 60 limit. Police said can’t give you a fixed penalty as too fast, need to report for Court etc., bla, bla, bla.

Never heard a thing.

I just wish I knew what the loophole was so I could use it again. tongue out

It's probably a dose of "couldn't be bothered to do the paperwork later" as it's not the world's biggest crime..?

Really? Is that a specific incident you know about, it ain't what the law says.

I reported a lawyer for drink driving in the Inner Temple in the City. He claimed that it was a Papal Peculiar and that I had no authority there. Fair enough, he was drunk, but even when he sobered he stuck with it. In the end he pleaded. Might be worth a go though for all offences. There's loads of them, one of which is Westminster Abbey. Seemed to work for the kiddy-fiddling vicars.

Ignoring the average speed cameras on the Cat and Fiddle (except the 3 from the pub to the A54 turn off) as they didn't run any power to the ones on the fun twisty bits.

Maybe not a loop hole as such.....

How long ago was that, thought they had 6 months to get back to you?
