After about an hours drive stainless handbrake trim so hot it is untouchable and gear knob very very warm. The car has just had some egnine work with clutch out etc. Does anyone know if they will have had to disturb something from a cockpit point of view. Any one else experience this ? Not noticed before . Thanks

Maybe the handbrake mech is touching something down below which it wasn't touching before. The handbrake handle and gear knob do get quite warm, but nver too hot to touch unless the car has been left sitting in the sun roof down for a while.

They all do that Sir! Apparently the latest cars have new heat shielding to reduce the effect, but heat soak has alwys been a problem.

Several posts on the Tuscan site re this, but I have the identical problem with my 2003 Tuscan. Am likely to have to go to dealer to check things out as both gearknob and handbrake get v hot after 1hr of continous driving. Supposedly there may be a rogue washer which can "cure all".......

Mine is an 04 T350. Any 04 T350 owners experience similiar ? I knew the problem was about but didnt think it was present on t350. Also, pretty sure it has only started doing this since the engine work.

Have had this a couple of times after a long drive from London to Manchester and back. Not day to day use.
