I currently use a very soft microfibre towel to do my final buffing after waxing the car. What do other people use/recommend?
Is there a good pad to use on a DA machine that will produce a better/quicker shine or a different type of towel to bring out the optimum shine?

I find it is a combination of wax, air temperature and time of day. Microfibres and soft pads make little difference as time is important, don't rush. Not too big a cloth not too much wax, make sure he wax is warm and the surface likewise.

Use the same, my chosen wax of choice is Collinite 476.

Always try and wax in the early evening of a dry day with no sun on the car.

Thanks both for your help but it is what to use to buff the wax off AFTER application that I am looking into.

You shouldn't really need to buff hard to remove a wax. And buffing harder, longer, faster won't increase the shine.

If you want to add more to the finish, it's the stages before the wax that will increase the shine and gloss.
Decontamination, polish - by hand or machine, even just a glaze, and then your wax to protect.

Yep, as I said, I use the same as you i.e. microfibre cloth, one of the mitten ones.

The mane from a unicorn and fairies eyelashes make for a gentle wax removal cloth!!

Any decent edgeless thick microfibre is good, just change sides on each panel and not too much wax.
