4 stroke 3.5hp outboard very slight smoke

Hi i have a 3.5hp outboard almost new...noticed slight smoking from the exhaust. is it normal to have a little smoke from a 4 stroke.

Make, model & year?
Smoke or steam?
I'm presuming it's water cooled & the exhaust is under water?
You may get a small amount of smoke - much as you get from a car. I wouldn't be expecting 2-stroke quantities.
Did you buy it privately or from a business & is there any warranty still in place?
