E61 530d Air con issue

Hi guys,
Had my air con regassed just over a month ago and it now has started blowing cool air rather than ice cold. It was ice cold up until yesterday.
I have made sure the settings in iDrive are correct and that there is refrigerant in the system by pushing the Schrader valve in on the air con lines.
The lower air con line near the slam panel gives of a loud hiss when the valve is depressed and has an oily feel to it, whereas the higher line near the firewall gives off a much quieter hiss with alot less pressure.
Is this how it should be?
Should I be checking anything else to rule out compressor etc?

Be careful pressing those valves you can get burnt afaik
I'd think there could well be pressure enough to hiss but not sufficient for aircon to work.
Need to be a bit more scientific I think... perhaps one of those DIY jobs from halfords for topping off aircon? They have a pressure guage.
