Just taken off my front and rear badges to get them Levenised and found they were both stuck on. Neither had any evidence of ever having studs on the back and there are no holes in the body. Is this normal for early Griffs or just cos mines very early?

Should be bolted. If there are no holes in the bodywork, it would suggest that on early ones they didn;t bolt them. If there are holes, it would suggest the studs have fallen off.

My front and back badges were bolted on. The holes are metal bits inserted into the fibreglass, so it isn't just a case of drilling a hole either.
They must have changed it during the production run.
(a new front TVR badge is only £12 by the way).

If you need some proper tape when they come back Al, give me a shout.

Badges are perfectly flat on the back and still chromed, so never been any studs. Want to keep the Griff original as possible so shan't be drilling any holes. Leven badges are 100% better than the originals, that's why they cost more. Thanks for the offer Big Al, but Leven are putting super sticky tape on the back for me.

I changed both my badges for the Leven ones last year, the old ones were both bolted on. The new Leven ones look alot better and i'm hoping won't fade but i opted for a stick on one on the front incase any little git tries to rob it, hoping if they did it wouldn't damage the fibreglass.

Had my badges chromed at electro platers and look great, even better than the Levens.
