Accumate has confirmed my suspicion that my battery is on the way out. What’s the current flavour of the month when it comes to batteries? Also, is it a straight swap like any other car or do I need to remove the doors or something daft before changing it? Cheers.

I changed my battery recently and struggled to get one that was identical with the lugs and position of the terminals, the one that I ending up buying fitted perfectly, it was EA755 Exide 031TE from Tanya Batteries, it was £77.13.

Good luck!

Thread resurrection but good to keep stuff like this current. The enduroline 072 battery I fitted in December 2017 won’t hold a charge so I ordered a Exide EA755 031TE as recommended (£77.14).
Fitted this afternoon and it was good to get rid of the over battery bracket I had made to hold the Enduroline due to its absence of flanges along the short sides.

When fitting the Exide I cursed several times until I realised the tab on the inside edge of the chassis was a little low and wouldn’t allow the flange on the side of the battery to slide under it. Some light bending with pliers and the Exide is snuggly sitting in place.

Can’t be bothered to package the Enduroline battery back to Tayna for a warranty claim as the battery was never right after if flatlined when the boot light stayed on. You know a battery I’d fubarred when the accumate won’t resurrect it and it needs a jump to kick start it again.

Not sure if technically necessary but I do leave the accumate connected via the cigarette socket during battery changes just in case the button battery in the dash is knacked.

So I can confirm the Exide battery does fit very snuggly in a Tamora with a bit of tab bending!!

Just need an essential run out tomorrow to check it’s all ok.
