Weber Card Identification
Discussion
Very rare, especially NOS........and the unique parts on them (that can't be used from a 'normal' 40, 45 or 48 DCOE) are rockin horse s
t.
If you had 3 of them, as NOS they'd probably be worth several thousands to a 3500 GT restorer, owner...!!
They were cheap and plentiful back in the 60's/70's as many more made than used on the Massa, so were often cheaper to buy than a normal DCOE for twin carb conversions of various 4 cyl cars.
Works TR4's apparently used them, as did the factory Morgan Supersport (whatever that is)
Parts problems mean that they as a pair now, the value is hard to determine, even as NOS, as it would be better to buy a normal pair of DCOE's for whatever.
Maybe worth contacting a couple of vintage Maserati specialists to see if they'd be interested....?

Weber 42DCOE-8 was standard equipment on the Maserati 3500 GT, although it had six of them.
You mean three of them
To be honest I doubt if this pair was actually destined for a Maserati, especially with those long air horns.
The 42DCOE-8 was also offered by Weber as a conversion equipment set for - from their lists - the 'Capri 2000', the 'Ford Pinto 2000' engine, the 'Triumph TR2, 3, 3A, 3B, 4 and 4A' and 'Volvo 122S, 144 and P1800'.
This pair might originally have been one of those Weber conversion kits?

That's why its going to be difficult to value them, they could be next to worthless as a pair.......?
