Not sure how I feel about such a thin full width strip
Will wait for full press pics/seeing it in the metal

Looks a bit bulbous in these and the yellow pic from a few month ago

The front wing / bumper / bonnet join is what bugs me the most. And the bumpers are a bit fussy IMO.

You are right - they can’t be serious to not have it all in one line. Let’s hope that’s just because pre production

Mmmmmm other than the rear, I am struggling abit vs the 991.2. Wing mirrors squarer, don't reflect the curves of the car in general (imo)

I'm sure Porsche will sell bucket loads of them.....

The front radiators still have no protection, and boy they do look fully exposed and still a bit agricultural! rolleyes

The bonnet/bumper/wing shut line and the more rectangular mirrors don't really suit the flowing lines of the car. Although completely different, it reminds me of the 993. Just in a way, that the same area of the car just doesn't work 100%.
But what really bugs me is the 3rd break light!!! Why???
I really liked the vertical stripped grill of the 991.2 cars and now they have ruined it completely!! With todays LED tech, couldn't they have integrated them better in the grill?? It looks like an afterthought when the 3rd brake light became mandatory.

Overall a good looking car, no doubt, and I'm sure it will grow on me...

A lot more Hi Res pictures of the same, almost undisguised, car: https://www.carscoops.com/2018/08/2019-porsche-911...

I have a feeling that 3rd brake light is just a temporary one on this car, because it looks pretty ridiculous..

Hybrid?
Coming 992.2 to quote the Porsche CEO in a magazine interview "It's going to be the most powerful 911 ever" So think Turbo S E-Hybrid Hybrid like the top end Panamera. Clearly "most powerful ever" means 700 bhp plus.

Kind of makes sense if the first 911 Hybrid was a base model it would go down like a bucket of cold sick. If it's about being the best performing/most powerful 911 people will be excited about it.

@cheib Understood- makes sense - thanks.
That third brake light is s shocker, that surely doesn’t make it to the final draft let’s hope

The plastic bits of the rear is too much imho.. They've done this with 718 too, and I do not think it ages well with the car.

Agree with comments regarding the bonnet- thought we had moved on from square edged front edge on the 996 like I had on my old C4s.
I noticed this on early mule photos and it looks like its made production.

I actually like the rear light and the main part of the rear bumper though, I just think the lower section looks too busy (I've honestly never been crazy about 4 exhaust tips on the 911), and the vertical rear slats.. I don't know, I think they can look okay but they're overdone here, too pronounced. I think the rear end as a whole is a bit busy and shouty..

Here's the yellow one that was spotted earlier in the year. The area around the rear number plate and lower painted area means I would think it's a higher trim level ? Third brake light definitely not great.

The bumper details front and back look extremely fussy. It looks more like a desperate facelift attempt than a proper original design.

I guess the designers have taken too much "inspiration" by "sporty SUVs" and the likes

I’m glad it isn’t just me.

Even on earlier prototypes I could see the lines and I thought it must just be early hacks bodged together.

It is an utter mess. This has to be a fairly final pre production model so not likely to change.

It jumps out as arkward and messy styling.

The rest of the car looks okay I think, but unfortunately even bigger looking than before.
