Engine crossmember that is!
Am rebuilding my geep with the aid of an official build manual but the problem is a little lack off clarity or information on bolt spec. I'll elaborate; the front crossmember is held in place on the chassis with four bolts. 4" in length I think. The manual doesn't say what thread they are (BA, UNF, etc) or what tensile grade they are either (R, S, 8.8) so buying replacements, as needed, is a little bit of a guess. Not something I feel inclined to do bearing in mind the importance of the job these bolts do!
The same problem is being encountered with the Track control arm bolts too.
Any info gladly accepted......accurate info would be nice.

I gunna assume you got the bolts out and know the lengths (should never assume cos u make an ASS of U and ME
)
Here's what's fitted to mine as original in both positions 1/2" BSW (fine pitch with nylock) Quite a low grade/low carbon bolt according to markings.
SAE 5.2. Tensile strength of 120ksi.(Grade 8's are 150ksi). Be tempted to put 8's in myself.
Hope that helps but the more i read it back to myself the more it sounds confusing!!
foot note: on the site i researched the bolt markings, it did state not to use bolts with no markings at all they really are the lowest quality and tensile strength.
Having used an m8 5.5 before (In error) you can stretch these with a ratchet and spanner, only found out when i went to torque it up and it just kept going!!
