If i slow down to a stop from say 10mph to 0 slowly using the brakes, when the car finally stops it makes a metallic click noise as the car comes to a stop, literally just one noise as it stops. Any ideas im clueless?

While it is decelerating the brakes and suspension are under a fairly constant load. At the point it stops, that load abruptly drops to zero. If there's any play anywhere, you'll feel that when the load is taken off.

They've been wearing and aging and corroding and picking up dirt, haven't they?
