It should be stickied and made into a broader challenge for anyone who comes here ranting about about how great camera's are..

The "prove it or shut up thread"

Taking just 1 safety camera as an example. The one on Grapes Hill in Norwich which caused massive protests from the drivers whose time is too precious to waste by OBEYING THE LAW. Before the camera was installed there were over 3000 a day breaking the 30MPH limit, after the camera this went down to below 300. Since the safety camera was installed there has been a huge reduction in KSIs on that road. Proof positive for all.

I don't think he read the question properly though

Yeah but everyone else should remove their replies as Puggit wanted to go One on One with him/her/it!
Read the opening lines of his opener.

You're right of course, but it's very difficult not to respond to the smug git, particularly when puggit doesn't seem to be around.

[edit]
I have removed my response, and would urge others to do likewise, this appears to be the official bystanders thread for this topic

Just out of interest, what are KSIs and why does puggit claim they're irrelevant?

I thought KSIs are RTAs in which someone is Killed/SeriouslyInjured. If so, why are the KSI statistics irrelevant?

(Just curious. Not getting involved )

Seriously injured is an arbitrary definition, killed is not, so why conflate the two figures? Scamerashits say that KSI numbers are down, and yet raw figures say that deaths are up, how does that one work, unless somebody is conveniently changing serious injuries into slight injuries by a bit of judicious definition fiddling?

Gawd this place gets more like Blackpoo on a Sat night.

We'll need Dibble to turn up with a "van load of chimps" next.
