991.1 converting from Xenon to LED's. Straigtforward?

I'm considering a particular 991.1 GT3 RS. Spec is pretty much as I want it with the exception of not having LED's - had them on my GTS and rate them.

Question....is it simply a matter of replacing the lamp units or is there more hardware I need to change? Anyone attempted the modification?

Sure I read somewhere, maybe on here, it's a straightforward
Unit change - easy to carryout but a fair few quid for new LED type

Someone hopefully will confirm either way

There was an old thread on 6speedonline which was inconclusive - that was back in 2014 though. I'll go have another Google!

Yep....there's also one on Rennlist. They seem to suggest that it is possible but also requires that a couple of modules are swapped and of course re-coding. Not actually found a response from anyone who has actually done it though to confirm.

Don't see why it won't be possible - just costly.

Halogen to LED is easy... 12V. Xenon would probably need to remove the high voltage circuits.
However, I thought that Xenon were supposed to be superior to LED.
