sports exhaust-exactly how too ??

I Know this topic has been covered many many times, but.
The exhaust is coming off tomorrow, and I would like to get an exact idea of what to do.
Where exactly am I cutting the back box open ?
Do I just slide the new lengths of pipe over the existing ones ?
Do they need welding in place ?
How then do you then get the new pipes to line up with the outer pipes ? (if you know what I mean )
Repack the back box after fitting solid pipes ?
Do I then just weld the rear of the box back on ??
Are lengths of exhaust pipe ok for the new sleeves ??
Again I know it has been covered before, but not in such detail to explain exactly how to do it.
Any advice is welcome, it's happening tomorrow one way or another.
Cheers.
It's for a 4.0HC Chim, by the way.

>>> they did it on the top of the box. massive hole all along the length of the box - after all you will have to access the perforated pipes to cut them out
Do I just slide the new lengths of pipe over the existing ones ?
>>>no, these were cut with about 1cm or 2cm left at either end and the new pipes slid over these
Do they need welding in place ?
>>> they didn't
How then do you then get the new pipes to line up with the outer pipes ? (if you know what I mean )
>>> the 1-2cm remains of the perf pipe hold the new pipes in place
Repack the back box after fitting solid pipes ?
>>> i already had the baffles removed/thrown away... would be interesting to hear a chimaera with the baffles in and a straight pipe but i really cant see it making any difference
Do I then just weld the rear of the box back on ??
>>> weld the top of the box back on!
Are lengths of exhaust pipe ok for the new sleeves ??
>>> dunno what pipe they used... phone them! they were big enough to slip over the perf pipes snugly
Again I know it has been covered before, but not in such detail to explain exactly how to do it.
