I read an article about how trackers MUST buy all 100 top shares and I'm thinking that there will be some shares in that bundle with potential large downside to them. Does anyone know a managed fund that only buys Nasdaq shares but selects them to try to weed out the overvalued, due for correction shares?

Surely that wouldn't be a tracker it would simply be an actively managed fund or ETF? confused

Eh......................yes, obviously, but, it gives me the best of 2 worlds, insisting the investment is in Nasdaq but expecting the manger to out perform the 100 tracker.

You should take a look at some of the smart beat offerings.

Effectively tracker/ETF funds, but with a quant overlay to exclude the worst expected index holdings. That sounds like what you're after.

Not looked for Nasdaq versions, but would be very surprised if there wasn't one out there somewhere.
