How much do you pay for your Gym ?

Just went to renew at Total Fitness, paid in full last year but not got a spare £575 sat around doing nothing and they said its £52.75 a month, its a pretty good club but that seems a bit steep, what are other people paying for gyms ?

Was at one that was £20 odd a month but it got bought by bloody Lidl.

My Xercise4less peak time membership is £12 per month, which is excellent value IMO.

I go to two great spinning classes per week and do weights 3 times a week. Thankfully, the times that I want to go do not coincide with when it is really busy

£24 at my local gym. No contract, great equipment and classes.

I was paying £15 a month at home for a good independent gym. That includes access to classes and it was 24hrs.

For £50+ I’d want a pool etc

£27 Snap Fitness, happy with that for a near brand new gym with 24/7 access.

Yeah, its got a pool and Sauna etc, but though I use it occasionally, not all that bothered.

I think that's pretty good value given I can train in a choice of three locations and can also do classes for free if I wanted to (have done circuits occasionally).

I've been a contented member since 2003.

Plus we get one of bints who has been on Love Island and her Tipp-Ex'd teeth bloke turn up at one the gyms which is always amusing.

Good equipment and not overly busy.

£27pcm at the local Council gym. It's alright but not worth £27pm in my opinion.

Gym membership is to my mind too cheap, I know that’s an odd thing to say but 15 years ago it would’ve been £40 a month.

People don’t appreciate what they can get.

Suppose a lot of it is built on the those who pay, but rarely go.

Might try the cheaper one

It was a fairly small, but pretty decent Energie gym, the lease was up on the land, Lidl bought it so they could extend the existing store next door.

The only lifting that will be done there now are bags of oven chips and turkey twizzlers.

Local Leisure Centre membership which comes with a gym. Classes and off peak courts are free etc..

I think it was around £520 for the year for the wife and I.

It's small(ish) with a most machines, a number of treadmills, bikes, cross trainers etc.. but as usual for this sort of thing, one power rack and one bench press bench.

Wife can go there when it's busy and still get on a machine - I can go when it's quiet but still have two guys block out what I want to use and I have to ditch the program and do 'stuff'.

£22 Pure gym 24/7 - no sauna / pool.

There is a leisure centre for £38 with a pool / sauna / classes.

£16 at ‘The Gym’ just joined a few weeks ago.

Was paying £50 at Nuffield Health but probably wasn’t using it enough to justify it do miss the pool/sauna/steam room.

About £22 at the local leisure centre, without use of the pool.

I am thinking of upgrading to the local Bannatyne's, where I had a trial day.
That has a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a much more modern gym for £44 a month.
