I've got a couple of alerts setup for cars I'm looking at - yet some dealers keep "bumping" adverts, I assume by making small edits, which bumps them to the top of the listings and sends me an alert to say there is a new car listed. Which there isn't. It's just someone bumping their advert.

So in the Evora section, I get about 5-6 emails a day for the same car, because a few dealers are clearly competing to to keep their cars at the top of the listing.

Can edits stop being alerted as new listing?

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time out to let us know about this. We currently have very limited development resource, so I’m afraid this won’t get attention immediately but we’ll endeavour to look into it as soon as we can. This issue will be logged and we’ll keep you posted on what action we’re able to take to rectify this.

If there are other users suffering from the same issue, please let us know on this thread so that we can assess the scale of the problem.

Thanks!

It's an odd thing, the reversion to 'we have limited resources'.

Even where true - and it happens - it's about the last thing I'd tell a client.

This place is free though, I guess.
