Platform fee from 0.25 to 0.35%. s. Yes we know they do a lot for it, but still.

Noticed this. Worth moving? I'm not sure.

They're now taking 1% every 3, not 4 years, good business for us captives.

Will look again at AJ Bell, although their website was shocking when I last did.

Depends how much trading you do and what kind but there are a few fixed cost platforms out there that might make sense.

Is it tiered? That might help a bit if you have a decent stash, sorry portfolio.

AJ bell is ok. As is H&L both capped for non Mutual Fund investments.
(eg) Only buy ETF's IT's and stocks/bonds etc

Also consider Vanguard direct.

If you are paying a percentage of total when its the smaller accounts that cost the most to manage, then move.

Considering moving to Interactive Investor but the bad reviews putting me off but it can't all be bad can it ?
Would reduce fees from about £350 per year to £90

Closed my account a few months after they took over TD... loved the TD platform until iii showed up.

Their insistence of quarterly fees annoyed me (they demand £22 per quarter which then gets converted into trading credits).

Shortly after requesting closure of my account I was slapped with £22 charge for the next quarter. I went through their support ticket process, took around 2-3 tickets to get it sorted. After 2 months it was eventually cleared.

Point being, support isn't as sharp as it used to be with TD. Also TD support was also available on weekends right into the early evening, whereas with iii its mon-fri.

I'm struggling to find another provider, they all seem to poor if you go by reviews (trustpilot). I was almost ready to sign up for an iWeb account until I read they have a limited choice in funds compared to other providers.

I keep coming back to H&L... pricey yes, but wondering if that is offset by value in platform quality and support?

Hmm... scratchchin

I'm thinking £22 a quarter is better than £350 per year ? But yeah it's finding the right balance of value and service !
