F11 electric boot not opening all way

[2014-f11]

Was cleaning glass earlier and tried to open boot manually. Heard a crack and now doesn’t open automatically all the way, just inch or so. Still closes automatically but not open.
Any ideas welcome. Don’t want main stealer to charge a fortune

You might of broken one of the rams. I did this on my old X5 wich ended up costing £335 to replace. Look where the ball and socket fitting is.
