What's this car?

It is a 1939 Peugeot 202 pick up and yes, it's an Andy Saunders creation known as 'Metropolis'.

Half a house and the bend in the road. No tags.
Spent a huge amount of time around there as a kid. Quickest way to town from my Nan’s place up near the main road was along that road, down the steep steps (just by that corner we’re looking at) to the park, along between the park and the railway, into town past the swimming pool. In those days the bit at the other end of the park was derelict ex-gasworks. Drove through last month and scarcely recognised it.
Just as an aside my Dad was a mate of Andy’s Dad and was often suggesting I go along to look at what Andy was up to, but I was quite reclusive and only really interested in aircraft in those days, so passed on the offer. Regret that now.

I remember being able to see the gasworks from in the swimming pool.
It's certainly changed a lot since then.
