GOLF MK5 GT SPORT DSG - Best compatible OE springs to use
Discussion
I recently bought a MK5 GOLF GT SPORT TDI with a DSG box on around 90K on 17's. I have had quite a bit done to the engine to run me for a couple of years. After the work was completed there were a few issues raised on the diagnostic check so needed some advice with the following:
I've been told both rear coil springs on the Golf have had there days and need replacing.
I'm not looking for an all singing/dancing kit and have my eyes on a set of Eibach Springs (Pro Kit) all round seen as the rears have packed in thought might as well get them all done which I'm assuming will be a straight fit (although assuming can also maketh an ass out of myself I'm happy with any guidance to help us out)
From the details on the specs of the spring kit it shows the following:
PRCode: L58
LOWERING KIT: VA: ca. 30 mm, HA: ca. 30 mm
Axle loads: VA: 1150 kg, HA: 1010 kg
I've done a little research and they are a correct fit but to what extent would this affect the cars ride height, its already lowered as standard which is why I'm worried with the new kit will this lower it an additional 30mm?
Any advice would be great
Thanks

Yes, the effects are cumulative. In fact if you fitted the new kit, took it off and fitted it back again it would go down another 30mm. Repeat 5 times and you could lower the car 6 inches.Gassing Station | Suspension, Brakes & Tyres | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
