I have a soft top that’s in pretty good condition but previous owner left to go green.

I have cleaned 3 time, twice with a softish brush and once just with sponge.

I have the renovo ultra proofer but obviously this won’t get rid of the mould.

Can you guys let me know what the best products are for rejuvenating!!

Thanks

I'd go steady if you do use a jet wash. Renovo do a good cleaner and I have used Meguiars to good effect before now too. Get a nail brush on the mouldy areas.

I had similar on a SAAB 9-3. I used Milton's sterilising fluid and a small brush - took ages. Came up much better, but admittedly not perfect.

Nailbrush & Gtechniq W5 should sort that no problems at all.

> pre soak with pressure washer
> spray with W5 and leave to dwell for a few minutes
> agitate with nail brush, following the nap of the fabric (usually a variation on the diagonal from left to right)
> rinse thoroughly with pressure washer until water runs clear
> dry with a microfibre or similar absorbing cloth
> leave to fully dry naturally
> check and repeat as required
> protect with something like Gtechniq I1 or Gyeon fabriccoat - brush on with a paintbrush

cheers

I have used Renovo colour restorer to good effect. You need to mask up well though as it gets everywhere !

Thoroughly wet with a normal garden hose. use Meguires All Purpose Cleaner and a stiff nail brush. Brush evenly and go easy along the roof ribs, rinse off with the hose, repeat until no more green scum forms while brushing, rinse off, leave to dry thoroughly and then treat with Gtechniq I1.

The roof on my Volvo C70 was green with algae having been neglected by the previous owner and lived outside for three years. Came up like new with very little effort.

Hi,

W5 is used neat and you shouldn't need a colour restorer.
