Autotrader or eBay Motors classified?
Discussion
My girlfriend now has her company car, and so it's now time to sell her Auris.
I'm struggling to decide whether to start off with Autotrader or eBay? Listing it on Autotrader for two weeks is over twice the price of an eBay classified, but something tells me it's going to get more exposure and be easier to sell that way.
What are your experiences?

How old is it? If it’s fairly new you might be surprised by what WBAC and their ilk will offer, or www.tootle.co.uk.

2007 with 81000 miles. WBAC have offered less than we want for it. Ebay has always served me well when selling cars, not just cheapies and as above - Autotrader has never worked well for me.
If you post lots of high res pics of clean car, write a careful and detailed description describing all faults and blemishes and tell people why you are selling it, starting the bidding low (I have always started my ads at less than half the value of the car) you will attract lots of interest. I have rarely posted a car advert and had less than 1000 page views. None of the cars I have auctioned on ebay have ever sold for less than I would have been happy to sell them for.
If it worries you, you could always fix a reserve at the price WBAC offered...but remember that WBAC will invariably knock a tad more off their offer for any scratches or screen chips that they notice.
Good luck - selling cars is boring!
