Just had my latest MoT and this was drawn to my attention. I was wondering what the most cost effective solution would be, replacement headlamp unit? Thanks

I have the same problem. I understand the solution is to cut the lense out and remove the lamp unit from the front. Then either replace or have the reflector re-silvered, which I found to be slightly cheaper.

TVR Parts list the reflectors at £142 each.

I’ll need a couple myself this year.

Is there a VW Lupo headlight conversion for the Mk1 Cerbs? Or is this only for the Chims?

Not to annoy anyone but I sold my pods with reflectors and lenses for about £15 on eBay and they were perfect as I am converting mine to the speed 6 type

Can the "lense" be re-used again after? Thanks

Yes it can be as it's quite chunky glass. You'd have to go some to damage it. There's also access panels in the front wheel arch which may be useful. The fairing around the lights is sometimes held on with tiger seal or similar and in some cases has studs glued to it which requires removing the wheel arch panels to undo the nuts holding it on. You might be able to remove the reflectors from the back but that'll be fun with corroded fasteners.
