Fiat 500 Paint

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a paint warranty for Fiat?

The wife's 500 Popstar is starting to show small specs of rust in various places over the car. Nothing major, but will only get worse.

Its a July 15' car with 7000 miles.

Just wondering if there is anything I can do before I call the dealer.

We also have a warranty on the body of your car in case of perforation due to corrosion from the inside out. We repair and/or replace any part perforated by corrosion for 8 years, starting from the date your car was delivered.

Are they like little specks of rust? This can be caused by parking close to a railway track and the metal coming off the train brakes
The metal embeds into the car body.

Also in transit the same can happen.

You can get rid of it by clay barring the body....

No, Not near a railway and cant think of anything similar that would cause it either. Good shout on the clay bar idea though. Ill give it a try. Although I'm concerned that it may only paper over the cracks and not solve it?
If the rust is there then I don't want to have a bigger problem on my hands later down the line. I suppose it depends on how far its gone into the body?
