Very strange situation.....

Car was delivered to me with 380miles on the clock. Delivery driver according to Google maps would have travelled about 140 miles from the garage to my home. This leaves 240 miles unaccounted for. I asked on delivery with the sales guy why 240miles had been driven, answer was after much pushing by me that it had been driven from another dealers 'compound'. I had previously been told that it had been on a transporter but I didn't push this any further and accepted this as the truth.

This morning I am discussing with a friend whose car just had a 3month health check, he asks if I have had my car in yet. I check the computer in the car to see if it needs this check and see that the first service is due in 266 days (1 year after the PDI). The car was PDI'd on Monday 14th May. I took delivery on the 28th June, 39 days difference.

I then start to dig and looked at the history in the sat nav, multiple destinations that certainly have not been entered by me or my wife and all prior to delivery to me. Then the bluetooth list, 4 other phones synced and none my wife or myn.

I've emailed the dealer again but something here does not add up.

Sounds like the last courtesy car I had.

I wouldn't be happy about a brand new car being delivered with anymore than 150ish miles and it having other destinations and paired phones is a pisstake.

Was the new car a factory order, or was it bought from dealer stock?

Also are you the first RK, or is it a pre-reg?

If the former to both questions, then I would be pissed off with any more than a couple of dozen miles on collection.

sounds like its been used as a runaround by someone bear in mind most manufacturers can reset the mileage under a certain number as well

Sounds like the car has been on display and subsequently used for demo purposes to me. Are the destinations in the sat nav all in a similar area?

Are you the first keeper on the V5, or has it been pre-registered? Mine was pre-registered, but only had 9 miles when I test-drove it.
